Equivalence of Training Skills in the European Healthcare Workforce, 13 July, Brussels

On 13 July 2009 The European Health Management Association (EHMA) and the Royal College of Physicians (London) held a joint roundtable meeting to discuss the equivalence of training/skills in the European healthcare workforce.

Some 25 national and European representatives of health services and professions were joined by officials from the European Commission’s Directorate for Internal Market and Services and DG SANCO (Directorate for Health and Consumers).

The aim of the meeting was to reflect on current EU frameworks for training and recognition of qualifications and relate this to practical experience on the ground.
