Project and Events Management Stagiaire

The European Health Management Association (EHMA) is looking for a Projects and Events Management Trainee from September 2010 (minimum of 3 months).

EHMA is a network of health organizations throughout Europe, working to improve health through better management. It does so by building bridges and sharing knowledge between managers, policy makers and academics. EHMA has a young and dynamic team that works in a stimulating and challenging environment. Stagiaires are not usually salaried positions, but EHMA does offer a stipend designed to cover subsistence costs.

Profile:

The ideal candidate should:

• Be proficient in spoken and written English (French and/or Dutch is an asset)
• Have proven good communication skills
• Have a proven interest in health, social or economic policy
• Be computer literate
• Be able to solve problems and work on their own initiative
• Be enthusiastic and comfortable working in a small team

Responsibilities:

Project and Events Management Stagiaire

• Assist in all aspects of event organization and management including marketing and communication; Participate in meetings and conferences (when possible)
• Provide substantive input and assist in editing project bids or reports, as well as other project management activities
• Assist in managing relations with current and potential project partners, speakers, event partners, external contacts, and EHMA members etc.

In addition to these fixed tasks to be agreed with the stagiaire on an individual basis, a number of diverse tasks may be assigned depending on the intern’s abilities and the needs of the EHMA office. The stagiaire(s) will be involved in running of the EHMA office and is expected to help out with a variety of administrative and internal processes when necessary.
