Chief Executives' Network

The Chief Executives’ Network offers a unique platform where CEOs can share experiences and gain new insights to meet the rapidly changing demographic and economic challenges facing Europe’s health systems. The network is based on three key principles promoting innovative leadership from chief executives within the health sector, both system planners and deliverers:

  • the value of peer to peer support;
  • the value of external perspectives on familiar problems; and
  • the value of international learning for identifying innovative solutions.

Membership of the CEO network is a free service for Chief Executives within the EHMA network though there is a charge for attending network events. The next event to be scheduled for 2010 will take place in early April in Brussels.

In addition, membership will give you access to the CEO discussion forum on the EHMA website.

For more information on this initiative, please contact Paul Giepmans (paul.giepmans@ehma.org).

Following Professor Prosser’s tragic sudden death, EHMA postponed its CEO event on 15,16 April – where Professor Prosser had been the keynote speaker. The event has now been rescheduled for 4-5 November 2010 and will focus on patient centred care as originally planned. More information will follow in due course. For questions please contact Paul Giepmans.

Commissioning Workshop

A preliminary event took place on 12 and 13 October 2009. EHMA, jointly with the Improvement and Development Agency (IDeA), held a two day peer learning workshop on commissioning, with a focus on purchasing for quality. To read the report, click here.

The Commissioning Programme will continue separately from the CEO network. If you would like to be informed about this subject in the future, please contact us.
